Obwohl es nicht die höchsten Wasserfälle der Welt sind, so sind es die Imposantesten. Hiervon wird man spätestens in dem Moment überzeugt wenn man trotz seines Regenponchos am Fuße der Wasserfälle nass und im Boot durchgeschüttet wird. Darüber hinaus hat das Örtchen nicht viel zu bieten: eine Mischung aus Las Vegas und einem Rummelplatz.

J’aime beaucoup! Durch die Stadt zu schlendern mutet an, in den Gassen einer europäischen Stadt am Mittelmeer zu sein. Die Architektur (die perfekte Assimilation von neuen Gebäuden ins alte Stadtbild), die Menschen, die Küche, alles wirkt stark europäisch. Zudem überall Kunst, optisch, akustisch, statisch und bewegt. Verteilt über die Stadt stehen immer wieder Klaviere, an denen man sein musikalisches Talent beweisen darf. Das kulinarische und studentische Leben findet man in den Künstlervierteln Mile End und Plateau Mont-Royal statt. Hoch über der Stadt thront der Parc du Mont Royal, welcher einen atemberaubenden Blick über diese bietet, gerade in der Dämmerung. Wer glaubt Montréal sei schon am Tage schön, muss es in der Nacht erleben!

Art everywhere, optically, acoustically, statically and moving. Spread over the city there are always pianos where you can prove your musical talent. Culinary and student life takes place in the artist districts Mile End and Plateau Mont-Royal. The Parc du Mont Royal towers high above the city, which offers a breathtaking view, especially at dusk. If you think Montreal is beautiful during the day, you have to experience it at night!

Québec besitzt wirklich eine malerische Altstadt, diese ist jedoch zu sehr auf den Tourismus ausgelegt und wirkt demnach etwas unecht. Umso mehr empfiehlt sich hier der Ausflug auf die nahe gelegene Île d’Orléans, einer kleinen von Landwirtschaft geprägten Insel mit viel Natur, Authentizität und kulinarischen Genüssen entlang der Rundstrasse.

Québec really has a picturesque old town, but this is too much designed for tourism and therefore looks a bit fake. An excursion to the nearby Île d’Orléans, a small agricultural island with lots of nature, authenticity and culinary delights along the circular road, is all the more recommended here.
