Venedig (Venezia, Italien)
Venice (Venezia, Italy)
There are few cities on earth that are as unique as Venice. For centuries, a pearl in the middle of the Venetian lagoon has spread over a hundred islands. Venice has defied the floods of water for centuries and, most recently, the floods of countless tourists. Except for the feeder, the city is free of cars. You can get around on foot or on one of the nearly 175 canals. You will also find nearly four hundred bridges. – Two lead to a dead end (I found one by accident). Whether it’s St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace or the Rialto Bridge. This city surpasses itself in pomp and beauty. My tips: 1. To experience at least a touch of the city’s authenticity, get lost off the beaten track. 2. Get out of bed early! Go back to bed late! – Not only the missing tourists, but also the first and last rays of sunshine of the day show you a different face of the city. 3. If you arrive by car, you should reserve a parking space in one of the parking garages beforehand. The following applies: “First come, first serve!”.
